Inspirations for pop promo video:

 

 

 

 Fun; 'we are young' 

As a group we choose to do this song as it has a lyrical and the narrative side of it which we found intriguing. We also liked the way the tune built up from slow paced to fast paced. Overall, we thought we could change a lot to make it unique to our group, as well as stick to the foundations of the original performance while adding our own twist to it.

The group are an indie pop band therefore, gave a sense of more pressure to get connotations of both, but overall if we are to achieve this we could use this for inspiration for our actual promo music video at a later date.

 

What we thought worked well:

• The mise-en-scene was a dark setting, which highlighted the artists. Therefore, making them stand out from everything else in the mise-en-scene, which made the audiences attention drawn to them alone.
• The clothing worn was very appropriate for the narrative and lyrics within the song. Along with the suits/smart clothing emphasised on there importance within the piece.
•  There over emphasised jumping on the drop of music worked really well to create a dramatic feel to that part of the song, which really made the audience feel involved within the drama taking place.
• At one stage within the music video the song and the action is slowed down to almost a standstill. Therefore, the editing effect used here is slow motion.
